Yes — commissions are the heart of my work. Custom furniture is a close collaboration: together we choose the design, the wood, and the details of form and function, so the finished piece is unique to you. 

To order console tables, submit a custom order inquiry and I'll follow up personally. 

For custom cutting/serving boards, counter tops or similar functional art, contact me personally. 

For custom orders of carved wall art, furniture, mirrors, picture frames,molding and other items, contact me by email or phone to discuss your order.

• Inquiry — You share your vision through the custom order form: piece type, wood preference, dimensions, and any details.

• Conversation & quote — I'll reply by email to discuss the design and provide a written quote and agreement.

• Deposit — Once we've agreed on the design, a deposit secures your place in the workshop queue. Deposits are accepted via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo.

• Crafting — Your piece is built by hand in my Baltimore workshop. I'll keep you updated as it takes shape.

• Delivery — When your piece is finished, we'll arrange shipping, delivery, or pickup.

Each piece is made entirely by hand, one at a time, so timelines vary with the design and the workshop queue. Most console tables are completed within 4-6 weeks. I'll give you an estimated completion window with your quote.

I use only fine hardwoods chosen for their strength and beauty — walnut, teak, mahogany, maple, paduak, cherry, purple heart and tropical cedar among them. Wood selection is part of every commission conversation, and I'm happy to recommend the best woods for your piece and your space.

My carved furniture works join the Saramacca Maroon carving style of Suriname with contemporary Western furniture styles Console tables are built with dowel and biscuit joinery — no nails, no shortcuts. No two pieces are alike.

Smaller items — such as cutting boards and jewelry — ship nationwide in the USA . Shipping price is included in every Etsy listing.

Larger items — carvings, furniture, frames — are shipped via UPS. I take the piece to UPS to pack and ship and UPS contacts the customer for direct payment by credit card for shipping.

Yes — local pickup is available from my Baltimore workshop by appointment, and delivery can often be arranged directly. Call or email your request.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth and wipe spills promptly. Keep pieces out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from heat vents or radiators, which can dry and fade fine hardwoods. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners — wipe with a soft cloth and a bit of sesame or walnut oil once or twice a year keeps the wood nourished.

Hand wash with mild soap and warm water, dry immediately, and never put it in the dishwasher or leave it soaking. Refresh the board monthly with food-grade mineral oil to keep the wood conditioned and the colors vivid.

Deposits and payments for custom work are accepted via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo. Purchases through my Etsy shop are processed securely by Etsy.

Because each piece is handmade and many are one of a kind, all sales of custom commissions and deposits  are final once work has begun. 

For ready-made items purchased on Etsy, return and exchange eligibility is listed on each item's page. With USPS and UPS shipping, the work is insured, and the customer must address damages with the shipping entity. 

Yes — many of my smaller pieces make treasured gifts, and gift wrapping is available on request.
